Process

Our process is dynamic and tailored to our clients, but generally follows the order set below.

  • Preliminary meeting(s) occur; initial exchange of ideas lead to detailed project scope:
We meet with company representatives to ascertain the goals of the project - what is the desired end result? We take the client through a comprehensive Project Profile to determine specifics. Sometimes this is the only preliminary meeting we need to have. If more dialogue is required, we meet once again to nail down the specific requirements, discussing budget, contact processes, etc, to eliminate "scope creep" and frustration on either side.

  • Proposal Submission, then modification, if required:
We submit a proposal detailing the work that will be covered within the scope of the project, the timeline, a meeting schedule and a cost breakdown. If, after client study, the proposal needs to be modified, we do it asap.

  • Project Work Begins with planned progress meetings & reports:
We begin, reporting on progress at least once per week, setting regular meetings. Progress is easily monitored - the new site is available via a password-protected web page as it's being built.

  • Project changes occur, possible alterations in timeline:
Inevitably, there are changes to the project. We work with the client to ascertain whether the modifications fit within the original scope, or whether they need to be relegated to a subsequent phase. This is when the information gathered within the project profile becomes vitally important - the more comprehensive the profile the fewer problems there will be with modifications. 90% of project changes are easily dealt with.

  • Testing/Quality control of "final" site begins, both by us and client:
Once we are "done" with the site, there are always many small things to be corrected. We utilize a dual-testing procedure: First, LeCocq Internet does extensive testing and quality control, then we open the site up to the client for several days of testing. We also deliver a comprehensive project binder, detailing the functionality of client's new site.

  • Wrap up and "Go live":
After the site has been thoroughly tested and has been approved by the client, preparations are made to make it available to the world. All necessary domain name and email modifications are prepared well in advance, and a date is set. The final changes are made at the specified time, and the client's new web site is available for the thousands of potential customers browsing the Internet!
