2.   Background

 

a.  Who will be the main contact for the project?  Are there others?  If applicable, who will be providing textual/image/design input?  If applicable, who hosts your current web site?  Please furnish roles and contact information.

 

b.  Are other parts of the project contracted to other companies?  Please furnish roles and contact information.

 

c.  If applicable, please differentiate your company from your competitors.  How do you stand out?  How are you better?

 

d.  If applicable, how do you think your customers perceive your company?  How would you like them to see you?  Do you have market research to support your views?

 

e.  Who uses your website?  What do you think they want from your website?

 

3.  Goals

 

a.  What are the goals of the project?  Is there a measure of success?

 

b.  What is the budget for the project, and can the goals be realistically met within it?

 

c.  What is the required timeline?

 

4.  Proposed site

 

a.  Specify the objective(s).  Detail what the site should look like and/or what new functionality your site should employ at the end of the project.
 

b.  If applicable, what is the ‘look’ to strive for?  Are there specific colors, images and fonts to be included?  Do you have an electronic or photographic version of your logo?  How important should it be in the overall site?

 

c.  Are there other websites on the Internet you like?  What are they, and what do you like about them?

 

d.  Content:  Do (or would you like) parts of your site to change periodically?  How often?  Will there be an administrative function for the site?  Who should have access?
